The Short Game is an area of the game of golf that eludes so many golfers. So many urban myths and misconceptions are actually the things that stop golfers from achieving a good, consistent short game. I firstly help players understand good concepts of what a good short game shot should look like. This would typically include.
Short game swing mechanics, radius control, spin control, flight and trajectory control and how to create a system that allows you to fill in all of your yardage gaps. Short game coaching will cover all aspects of short game, including chipping and pitching, bunker play, lob shots and also trouble shots from difficult lies, and making good assessments of lies – and understanding how that lie will impact on the type of shot the player is trying to execute can go a long way to helping players make better club choices and better decisions in their short game.
Just back from lesson at Stewart Craig Golf. Once again Stewart was able to simplify the technical aspects to a level which I understand, which will allow my practice to have greater purpose. I personally can’t recommend Stewart highly enough as my golf has improved significantly over the winter months. The range itself has seen a great deal of improvements in the past 12 months which make it a pleasant and welcoming place to practice your golf. Keep up the good work Stewart & Team.
Through my extensive research and analysis of golf techniques, physiology, psychology, equipment technology, and the learning process, I have developed the ability to rapidly identify areas for improvement in my students’ golf game.
